The events you go through may not be as glorious as they were in the previous game, but still it is quite fun and enjoyable. Sure, they don’t have a lot of screen time, but when they do, you will find that they still have that which made them them. Now, about the old characters: If you’re worried that the old characters treatment is bad, don’t be. Going forward you will discover that each of the characters have a lot more to their personalities. You may find some of them to be one-dimensional at first, but that is what the story wants you to think. It was really interesting to see how people viewed Handsome Jack, with Reba dismissing Fran when she explained why she went with a Tediore product instead of a Hyperion one Some of the tense beats and moments could have stood to be higher and tenser. Episode three is the low point Episode One: honestly really solid episode, great humor, good job of establishing post invasion Promethea. HOWEVER, its a pretty good story, that does what I wanted it to do, expand the Borderlands Universe, which it did as well as show another corporation in action. This is not a good “Tales” game, the minigames are repetitive, the quick time events feel almost pointless, and your choices don’t really matter all that much.
